The Harry Potter Spells Tag!

I was recently looking through Jessythereaders old videos and I stumbled upon the Harry Potter Spells tag and it sounded so fun that I had to do it myself!

The tag was originally created by TurtheSympathy if you want to check it out 😉

1. Expecto Patronum – A childhood book connected to good memories

For me it is definitely the Little House series by Laura Ingals. When my sister and I were little we would cuddle up in my bed and then my dad would read these stories to us. They were magical! Today I know that it is also a story of a hard life to which I was oblivious back then. Still they are very special to me ❤

2. Expelliarmus – A book that took you by surprise

There is so many great ones for this one but I will have to go with Illuminae by Jay kristoff and Amie Kaufman! First of all I had no idea that it was written in awesome file format. I also did not at all expect the plot to be how it is (in a positive way of course). I had expected some sort or dystopian paranormal novel but I got a bomb of awesome sci-fi/zombie book that had me almost shaking with excitement!

3. Prior Incantato – The last book you read

Ok so I am technically still reading this one but  I am nearly finished: Frost like Night ❤ It is the third book in the Snow Like Ashes trilogy by Sara Raasch. I really liked the first two book but this one has WON MY HEART!! I have about fifty pages left and things are so exciting I think I am gonna die!!

4. Alohamora – A book that introduced you to a genre you had not considered before

When I started reading All the Light We Cannot See I had no idea what I was getting into. I got this book for Christmas last year and it was the first book I read in 2016. Even now a year later it still stands out as one of the best books I have ever read! I did not even know what exactly historical fiction was before I read this book and now I adore it!

5. Riddikulus – A funny book you’ve read.

For this part I cannot choose only one book but all books by Rick Riordan ❤ His writing is so funny and his characters are the most sassy, sarcastic and generally amazing characters ever! With no other books do I laugh as much as when I am reading Rick’s. Percy especially is my one true love (though I ship Percabeth with all that I have got! They are if you ask me THE OTP /Together with Feyrhys ofc./)

6. Sonorus – A book you think everybody should know about.

Last year when I was in London I randomly picked up Am I Normal Yet by Holly Bourne mostly because it was signed and I thought that was super cool! Anyway as soon as I started reading this I was hooked! It was nothing like anything I had ever read before but I loved its style and the characters. Especially Evie was very relatable to me ❤ It is now probably my favorite book.. EVER!! Everyone should read it and learn the goodness it holds inside! ❤

7. Obliviate – A book or spoiler you would like to forget having read.

ACOMAF SPOILER ALERT!!! CONTINUE READING AT YOUR OWN RISK!!

As I started reading ACOTAR after ACOMAF came out I was accidentally spoiled about Feyre and Rhys being mates.. and even though it gave me the craziest feels when reading ACOTAR and especially when meeting Rhysand for the first time at Calanmai, I really would have liked not to know about the bond so that I could get the full surprise feels experience in ACOMAF ❤ ❤

8. Imperio – A book you had to read for school.

I actually read Harry Potter and the Philosophers Stone for the first time in school! And wait for it guys: I did not enjoy it.. *screaming breaks out* *people run after me with burning torches and pitchforks* *throws my hands over my head and whimpers “sorry”*… In my defence I read it in a shortened version in Danish and it was if fourth grade where I really was not a very big reader.. But NOW I am a potterhead through and through! So please forgive the foolish ignorance of my past ❤

9. Crucio – A book that was painful to read.

This is most definitely an unpopular opinion.. but it is also a bit halfheartedly that I choose Insurgent by Veronica Roth for this one.. I tried reading Insurgent in eighth grade but though I really liked Divergent I did not enjoy Insurgent.. Which is why I only read about a chapter before giving up on in. I plan to read/reread the divergent series because I don’t think it possibly can be as bad as I remember it to be.. Cheers to second chances!

10. Avada Kedavra – A book that could kill (interpret as you will).

skaermbillede-2016-12-31-kl-00-45-07

Empire of Storms by Sarah J. Maas! Do I even need to say anymore than that? IT KILLED ME! I cried for hours! I cannot wait for the last book though! It is going to ruin us guys. You have realized that right. IT WILL DESTROY US.

I hope you guys liked this tag! Feel welcome to do it yourself and do tell me if you did! I would love to check it out ❤

Love – Anne Sofie
