Contact me and review policy

If you want to contact me about reviewing a/your book or just talk to me, this is the place ❤

Here is a bit about my review policy:

I post all my reviews here on my blog, and in a shorter version on my goodreads. I write all my reviews in English, and if the book is Danish, I write a Danish review below the English one as well.

I accept ARC’s, published novels, and audiobooks.  I receive middle grade, young adult, new adult and adult books for review.

I read almost anything that is fiction, but I do prefer the following genres:

  • Fantasy
  • Contemporary
  • Historical Fiction
  • Romance
  • Dystopian
  • Science Fiction/Paranormal
  • Poetry

I will review a book within two months of receiving it. If it is an ARC, I will try my best to get the review up around the publish date.

When I review books, it is always with my own honest opinion. That means that if I did not like the book, I will let people know that I didn’t like it. I will, of course, carefully explain excactly what it was that I did not like the book and never be rude.

I rate a book on a scale from 1-5 stars ★ One being the lowest and five being the best!

When I rate a book I take these things into consideration:

  • Concept
  • Plot and setting
  • Characters and character development
  • Writing style and language
  • Originality
  • The feelings it invoked in me
  • Over all impression

★☆☆☆☆ – One star = I did not like anything about this book. I will always finish a book so I can rate it fairly, but it really has to be terrible for me to rate it only one star.

★★☆☆☆ – Two stars = Not a good book. For me to rate a book two stars it needs to fulfill two of the points mentioned above. It can be a bit of all of them too.. but I have to like at least two.

★★★☆☆ – Three stars = a good book but not better that good. It fulfills more or less the points from above but is not very impressive.

★★★★☆ – Four stars = a great book that I really loved. It fulfilled all of my criteria from above and was wonderful to read. Gennerally great.

★★★★★ – Five stars = a fantastic book that I think everyone should read! It was funny and made me laugh, interesting and I learned something, had deeper characters that I could relate to on some level, a plot that had me sitting on the edge of the seat with excitement, enjoyable writing style, moved me deeply maybe even made me cry and last but not least changed me in some way.

Besides the regular stars I also have two titles that I award very special books.

First there is the Golden Star ⭐️ price. This very rare title will be given to one of a kind books that I estimate to be among the best in the world.

Second there is the Underrated distinction. This is for fantastic books that I believe are underrated. Underrated books are lesser famous/under-appreciated books and series that does not get all the love and attention that I think they deserve. They will typically be rated four or five stars and have a very special place in my heart.
